About Hannah Williams
My journey has been a long one, and it's not over yet.
I grew up in Bellwood, Pennsylvania, a town with a population of less than 2,000 that you've never heard of unless you were born there. I've always had trouble making friends and connecting with other people my age because of a crippling social anxiety and generalized anxiety disorder. I've loved to read since I was really young. I hid from the outside world I was so afraid of in books.
When I was a junior, I wrote a couple of short stories for my school's newspaper. I studied cosmetology throughout high school and graduated with a cosmetology license. I didn't make a decision about college until I was a junior in high school. Before that, I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life doing hair. The summer after tenth grade I realized that my passion lies in literature, movies, and storytelling. In college I became a copywriter for the school newspaper, and I graduated from university with a degree in English literature.
